During a workshop participants make multiple curiosities – small, conceptual projects – centred around a specific (desired) topic. A range of short assignments (pressure-cooker format) help them in questioning the topic, and finding new interpretations.

This 3 day workshop is about visualising an experience by making multiple curiosities. The idea: start a (visual) dialogue about your interpretation and react on each other by visualising re-interpretations of the curiosities.

The results are mind blowing; they make you re-discover and re-interpret an experience.

A short summary of the days:

Day 1: Enter the room (the Cabinet of Curiosities) which is filled with objects, books, movies and sounds; filled with curiosities. You are free to experience the Cabinet in your own way for 5 minutes. Make a visual interpretation from your experiences and share it with the other visitors.

Day 2: Re-interpret your own curiosity while combining it with one of the other curiosities (= interpretations of the room). Visualise this re-interpretation in a new curiosity and share this with the other visitors.

Day 3: Add another layer of interpretation to your curiosity. This layer is a reaction on the interpretation from others. It is a re-interpretation of a re-interpretation of a re-interpretation of the room.

At the end of day 3 we re-build the original Cabinet of Curiosities with our own curiosities and invited others to visit and thus experience our interpretations of the original cabinet.

The result: a complete new interpretation of the Cabinet of Curiosities that has been visited on day one with (exploding)balloons, movies, (card)games, LOUD music and a custom made music track!
