During a workshop participants make multiple curiosities – small, conceptual projects – centred around a specific (desired) topic. A range of short assignments (pressure-cooker format) help them in questioning the topic, and finding new interpretations.

At day one of this 3-day workshop, participants collected 15 random objects – these objects where the starting point and subject of this workshop. During the workshops they where given various instructions to order and decompose the object(s). Finding systems and parameters to generate multiple orderings/outcomes helped the students to discover new ways to interpret an object. It is in fact the base of interaction- and generative design.
At the end of each day they wrote down the most important insights they got during the day. By writing down these insights the students inspired each other and at the same time the workshop was placed in a broader perspective – the insights can be used to also take projects outside of the workshop to a higher level.

With no restrictions regarding the medium of the project and the documentation, students discovered exciting ways to visualise their system and ordering.
